Head-on collision in plainsboro nj results in injuries to two motorists

A head-on collision on a roadway in Plainsboro NJ resulted in significant physical injuries to one of the motorists.

The car accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Scudders Mill Road, near the Bristol-Meyers Squibb campus in Plainsboro, New Jersey. A 49-year-old local woman was driving her vehicle when she suddenly lost control and swerved across a grassy median and into oncoming traffic. The car eventually collided with another motor vehicle, resulting in one of the cars being thrown off the road and overturning in a nearby field.

The driver who lost control of her car is from Plainsboro, NJ. She was reportedly stuck in her car after the accident, prompting emergency medical responders and police officers to cut her out of the vehicle. Once the victim had been safely extracted from the overturned car, she was flown by helicopter to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey. Doctors in the trauma unit of the Trenton NJ hospital treated the victim for severe, potentially catastrophic physical injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other car, a 49-year-old female from West Windsor NJ, was transported to University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Doctors at the hospital treated her for minor injuries sustained in the car crash.

While the injured motorists were being treated for their respective injuries, law enforcement closed down Scudders Mill Road in the area of the accident.
The Plainsboro Police Department is actively investigating the car accident. Depending on the findings of investigators, it is possible that the Plainsboro woman could be cited for traffic violations or even criminally charged.
